Effective immediately, the Juneau County Parks Department will close the following facilities: Castle Rock and Wilderness County Park Offices, shelters, non-essential buildings, showers and restrooms for the duration of the public health emergency. A limited number of restrooms may remain open given there are enough resources and cleaning supplies for staff to maintain them.
All campsites (individual or group) are closed through April 30th, 2020. The extent of closures may change during this rapidly evolving situation. No new reservations will be accepted until further notice.
Kennedy Park and Bass Hollow shelters will also be closed.
The Omaha Bike Trail, County Park grounds and trails will continue to be open at this time.
Visitors are reminded to practice proper personal hygiene, social distancing and to limit group sizes to under ten people to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
For specific information regarding the COVID-19 virus we encourage the public to frequently monitor the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and CDC websites.
Questions regarding camping or shelter reservations can be directed to the Juneau County Parks Mauston Office at (608) 847-9389.
